Oral history, 1986.

Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 6 November 1986. Floyd describes growing up in Southern California with a black father and white mother, She talks about her mother's return to the Mormon Church and her own decision to be baptized. She tells of her acceptance by members of that church, her school and social experiences as a a Mormon in California and Hawaii, and its impact on her present life.
